kreativekarma@gmail.com  Studio Tips - Locking each item on your page is a smart way to avoid moving or deleting that object. But locking every item on each page of your book can take a lot of clicks. You can do it in one click! On your "Edit" menu, you'll find a "Lock" option. Click to see a drop-down menu with the following options: lock all on the page, unlock all on the page, lock all in the project, and unlock all in the project. - Do you ever want to stretch an object, but you don't want to have to go to the Layout tab to unlock proportions, make your change, and then lock proportions again? You can stretch an object quickly and easily just by holding down the Shift key on your keyboard as you drag the sides of the object. When you release the Shift key, the proportions of your object will automatically default to "locked" again. - After you've swapped a photo, if you want to make adjustments to the current photo on the page, lock it first and then go to the "Tools" tab on your toolbox. When your image is locked, you will see "scale" and "rotation" that aren't available when the photo is unlocked.  Online Classes Introduction to Studio Taught by Brit Murdock Learn the basics of Heritage Makers' Studio program. Fall Mantel & Fall Goodies Party! *UPDATE*

Hey all you Fall Mantel Party Hoppers!

 So here is my fall mantel so far... This was my first effort and I am sure like many, it will evolve through out the Fall season. I plan to add some pumpkins and gourds... Right now I thought I was a little clever adding a fall garland to a frame and then putting my favorite fall scrapbooking pages inside of it. I need to rethink the actual mantel part though, lol! Today I thought of how the Nester said to bring I some nature... so I was thinking about cutting some small branches off my oak tree with the yellow leaves on them and putting them in a vase for the left side, what do you think? P.S. Do you recognize my wall color? It is supposed to be the famous Tobacco Road! Although it looks a little green! ;)

OK, after seeing all the wonderful mantels in the mantel party, I got some inspiration. I had to steal things from other parts of the house, but I think for now, I am happy with this!

I love this wreath, but I don't think it is working with this door. I think that it blends in too much. What do you think?

Studio Tips and Tricks Leave 1/8” Margin Around Page – Did you know that you need to leave a 1/8” margin between the edge of the page and anything you don’t want to get cut off? Yes, the gray box around the page shows you where your page should be cut off in production. But the page cutters can sometimes go slightly over that marked spot. To be safe, make sure you have a 1/8” margin around your entire page. Use Ctrl Button for Swapping – As you drag an element onto the page, hold down the ctrl key (or if you have a Mac hold down the Cmd. key). The element, then, should swap without any problems.
