Please Help Me Get My Babies Back!

A friend and I were chatting about babies the topic came up about how I can get my 9 Embryos shipped from California to my new home state so I can have a baby or two or three that I have been so longing for, it's been over 8 years now since I had my wonderful and sweet son... We tried IVF and we came up with 11 embryos... we had 2 inseminated and they did not take. This was in September of 2005.

Shirlene, my friend, suggested some sort of a fund raiser.
I feel wrong just asking people for money outright so I thought I would tell everyone about the scrapbooking paper products and website/graphics services that I offer.

All the money I make from my paper shop, digital shop, and website design & services will go toward getting my babies shipped to me!

Please help me by taking advantage of some of my products and services!

What do you think? Do you have any suggestions of fundraisers for my baby cause???

Karma -- I commend you for reaching out and letting all of us help you. It's not easy to ask for help; however, that's what friends are for. I tried to make a donation to your baby fund and received a message that there is a problem with PayPal. I'll keep checking back for that to be resolved. As far as fundraising ideas, do you think that all of the wonderful designers at Faith Sisters would be willing to put together a collaborative kit that could be sold with the proceeds going toward your baby fund? Just an idea. Love ya girl!

Thanks Kim! I fixed the PayPal link! I will be asking the designers at FS and having them ask designers they know if we can come up with a big kit! Thanks so much for your kind words and support!

I have a fundraising idea...well a couple. You could make a cafepress store and promote the heck out of it. You may not make a whole lot of money, but every little bit counts, right?

There's also this site that used to be "Robin Hood Fund" but now it's changed...here's the link. It's legit and you could also promote this so people vote for you. http://www.greedyorneedy.com/

Good luck! I'm headed to your store now to buy a couple items.

Wow - I've been wondering what that "raising money to get my babies" ticker was all about!! Thanks for sharing Karma! I'll definitely be thinking about you and doing my best to send people your way - hopefully my CT work for Krystal will help generate some funds for those babies!!! Keep us posted!!!

What a great idea! My DH and I have adopted our 4 little ones and are just looking into IVF! When we started adopting a few fundraising ideas...
I love the collab kit idea!

We were told to let family members know that instead of any ideas of gifts, let them know they can contribute to your fund.

They also suggested to let those in your community or church group know, there are SO many organizations out there looking for a cause, here our KRLC Quilters donated their craft fair funds, there are also local businesses willing to sponser or donate their proceeds of a day or hour...

Some of the ideas seemed out of my comfort zone personally...YIKES!
We decided to go through our house and ask our family to donate to us all of their unwanted items, we went through our house room by room and found a TON of stuff and sold it online! We made more than I thought!

Good Luck!

Good luck! It took us 8 long years to get our twins. The others gave you some great ideas! When I get some funds your kits will be the first I buy!!!

Maybe start a link to donate to the cause by buying a magazine subscription or something? I have a friend that's doing that right now. You might get more money that way rather than someone spending a dollar or two on a scrapbooking kit. Just a thought...
