My January in Review

David keeps hinting that it would be a great idea for me to do a page every month that has the best photos included for that month on it. So, I went ahead and did January! Here it is!

Photos from left to right...

-Hunter opening Christmas presents when we got home from Canada!
-Hunter opening Christmas presents when we got home from Canada!
-Me after I had made out big post Christmas, Christmas dinner with all the fixins... we apparently didn't eat enough in Canada!
-Hunter opening Christmas presents when we got home from Canada!
-Obama getting sworn in as President of the USA.
-The whole right side otherwise is us hiking at the Castlewood Canyon State Park. The last photo is a heard of cows drinking run off water at the fence!

-Back to the left side, 4 rows down... these 3 photos are of David and I writing a verse in the bible that will be sold all hand written. We wrote on 2 pages a verse each... one copy will be placed in the Smithsonian! It's very cool! Check out BibleAcrossAmerica.com
- 5th line, David at work!
-David getting home from work and Hunter so happy, lol!
-Hunter having breakfast.
-Hunter, David and Hunter's friend Benji bowling.

A pretty well rounded January I would say! :D

Kit used is from the Ettes called Frost Bite.

52 Blessings - Week 5 - My Sister

Although my sisters fought like turkeys when we were younger, we along get pretty well now! Shanna lives in Australia and it's hard not having her and her family near us, but we love to talk via SKYPE on the internet. I am so blessed to be able to talk to her on my computer when ever I want. I get to see my nieces too and that means so much to me!

52 Blessings - Week 4 - My Dad

Journaling:
My dad is a blessing in my life. Although he has been struggling with Multiple Sclerosis since I was a young girl, he has always found ways to accomplish and learn new things to keep his body
moving and active. Most in his shoes would give up, but not him. He is so proud to be grandpa to my son Hunter and he is always happy to hear about what is new in my life.

Faith Sisters Challenge - God Loves You

Here is my layout for the newest challenge at Faith Sisters!

Journaling:
Everyday, the Lord shows his love to me. When
my son comes home from school, when my
husband comes home from work, when we sit
down as a family for dinner and send up our
prayers together...
The Lord is always with me, no matter where I go.

Scripture Verse:
Romans 8:39
...neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love
of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

52 Blessings - Week 3

Journaling reads:

My mother is one of the strongest women I know. She has been through a lot in her life. She has been the bread winner in our family for most of my life. She is a true leader and is driven to succeed in furthering herself no matter how long it takes. She went to university after I was grown and out of the house. She is someone that I look up to and is a
true blessing to me.

12 of 12 January

For those of you who don't know, 12 of 12 started as a photography challenge and then turned into a scrapbook challenge.

The gist:
On the 12th day of each month take twelve pictures of your life...then scrapbook your day using those 12 photos.

Twelve pictures OF your life, the twelfth of each month...scrapbooked for the year!
Simple, right?

Kinda' like Project 365 but on a monthly scale instead of daily.

Here is my first one!

52 Blessings...

Happy New Year!

Wow, I have been a busy girl! I can't believe how I have neglected my blog! I may end up just using this blog now for my scrapbooking and do a different one for family... we shall see!

Anyway, some of the girls at Faith Sisters is doing a 52 Blessings challenge where they post a blessing every week. I did mine as a layout this week!

Since we started Faith
Sisters in August,2007,
I have felt more fulfilled
in my day to day life. I
love getting online every-
day and checking our
website. I find it a great
blessing to be able to help
others leave a legacy of
their faith.

The True Meaning of Christmas - Challenge Part 4 of 9 - The Red Ornament Freebie

The True Meaning of Christmas - Challenge Part 4 of 9

The Color Red (Ornament): The first color of Christmas, symbolizing the Savior’s sacrifice for all.

For the next 6 weeks I will be doing challenges based on a story by an unknown author. The story is about the true meaning of the Christmas Symbols. Each week we will take the different symbols in the story and do pages with them. After the 6 weeks are over and including the challenges from the last 3 weeks, you should have a beautiful reminder that you can share with your family every Christmas as to what the TRUE Meaning of Christmas is and that is of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

See the first and full challenge and story by clicking here!

(Week Four) "Red," said Santa, "is the first color of Christmas." "He pulled forth a red ornament for the tiny tree. Red is deep, intense, vivid. It is the color of the life-giving blood that flows through our veins. It is the symbol of God's greatest gift. Teach the children that Christ gave his life and shed his blood for them that they might have eternal life. When they see the color red, it should remind them of that most wonderful gift."

We hope that you will join us in creating this keepsake for your own family! We would love to see what you do! Please upload your creations in
our gallery!

Blessings,
Karma

For a limited time, you can download this digital mini kit for FREE to continue your album with!

If you would like help getting your pages done faster, you can pick up my Quick Page for this challenge in my shop!
